In today’s episode, we’re going to be talking about pre-selling a product that doesn’t exist. This is becoming more and more popular, and for good reason.
Some highlights include:
Create an idea with a framework so you can explain it. Then get on a live broadcast like Periscope or Facebook Live (or both!) and start talking about your product. The feedback you receive from your audience will help you know what people want in the product, something that will make selling it much, much easier for you. (minute 1:00)
As you’re building your freemium, start to think about what mini-course you’ll create to go along with it. It’s so important to do this while creating the freemium because you may realize that too much of the meat is going into the freemium. You’ve got to be able to sell the mini-course. (minute 2:00)
After you’ve created the freemium and mini-course, give away the freemium and go back on a live broadcast to tell your audience about the mini-course. You’ve already delivered them value, and it’s time to tell them about the gap between the free and paid versions. (minute 3:00)
Next, beta test your product, but don’t give it away for free. If you do, people will just ignore it, and you won’t get good feedback. What you need to do is give it away for a discount. This will keep them invested. (minute 4:00)
How many people do you want to be beta testers? Enough for you to get great testimonials on your product. These are what you’re going to use to actually sell your program. (minute 6:00)
