This episode is tackling one of the hottest parenting topics, SCREEN TIME! Not only that, this specific conversation is geared for any working mom striving to handle screen time better with their kids. I'm excited to bring you my friend Andrea Davis, from Better Screen Time, where she and her husband teach positive strategies to help your family know when and how to make that transition without letting screen time take center stage.

"You want to serve the world and serve people..." At minute 1:35, Andrea tells us about her background and what her business journey has looked like.

"I have watched this evolution of the technology change..." At 8:12, I'm picking Andrea's brain about ideas of what our kids can be doing while we are working and how to keep them occupied without feeling guilty or disappointed with ourselves while trying to get work done. Plus, what kind of media we should be allowing our kids to watch.

"I realized that was a boundary I needed to set..." At minute 17:05, Andrea is sharing what she found while doing research and finding tips for the kids. Hear her recommendation for how much time she allows her kids to be watching screens and how we can judge what our kids need.

"Always invest in their relationship on a daily basis..." At 25:30, Andrea shares some ideas and tips that our kids can do independently. Plus a few ways we can prepare activities ahead of time, what Andrea does with her family and so many screen-free ideas we can implement!

If you want to connect more with Andrea, visit her website at betterscreentime.com, find her on Instagram, @betterscreentime and you can join her Facebook group! Plus, here are a few resources Andrea talked about in this episode:

I don't know why it is, but there seems to be so much shame and guilt around asking for help. I hear women say... "I should know better" or "I don't know why I can't just figure this out on my own." But today I'm here to tell you the truth - it is ok to not know every answer!

If you want to go from a 6-figure to a 7-figure business, what should you do? Find a coach who has a thriving 7-figure business!  It totally wouldn't make sense for you to assume you know how to create a 7-figure business when you've have never had it before. So please let this relieve you of any guilt or embarrassment you may have had around asking for help! It is what we are supposed to do! Plus, I'm sharing how I had to dial 911 recently to ask for help (you seriously won't believe what happened!)

"All of a sudden there is this screeching noise coming out of her bedroom..." At minute 0:40, I'm sharing a personal story, that also relates to business, with you that you may have seen on my Instagram stories recently.

"I took advice from a 3 year old..." At 5:18, I'm sharing a few problems that you might have in your business now or have done in the past. Plus, we're talking about how often we take advice from people who aren't ahead of us or even in the entrepreneurial world when we shouldn't.

"We feel like we should know better, we feel like we should be able to do better..." At minute 8:46, I'm telling you the reason I thought of this podcast and how we can feel guilty about getting help in our business and even our personal lives.

"How are you doing this all?..." At 15:32, I'm sharing my message with you on why we should be getting help in the areas where we need it and why I need you to know it's not always as easy as I make it look!

If you are looking to work with me in any capacity I have a few options for you! Check out the upcoming Purposeful Positioning Workshop, stacytuschl.com/workshop at the end of July or I have strategy days available to work with you one on one here in Milwaukee. Head over to stacytuschl.com on the Work With Me page for all the details and I hope to see you there!

Today I am excited to introduce you to my friend Brandon Lucero! Brandon is the founder of Sold With Video, and not only that, he is the creator of all of our amazing videos we put out on social media lately! I know so many of you have complimented our YouTube channel and IGTV videos, and today you actually get to meet the brains behind it all and hear the inside scoop. Brandon and I are going to discuss why video is extremely important in your marketing strategy and what types of businesses can and should be using it.

"It really kind of forced me to look for other ways to make money..." At minute 1:29, hear Brandon's backstory of how he got started and how he became the video guy he is now. Brandon shares the conversations he had with James Wedmore, his struggles with pricing and how he got past that.

"At the end of the day we do video, but what we really do is messaging ..." At 9:58, we're talking about how important it is to have a mentor or peer to help guide you. Plus, even with struggle after struggle Brandon didn't give up but hear how he uses his journey to recognize his strengths. He also tells us what makes his methodology different from other businesses.

"I'm not a big believer in letting your audience dictate the content you should do..." At minute 18:44, we're busting an objection! How can you create 9 months of content ahead of time?Wouldn't it be outdated? Brandon talks about the biggest mistakes that make him cringe while watching videos.

"Connection is one of the biggest things we need to incorporate into content" At 24:27, Brandon is giving examples of thought reversal for video. Brandon shares tips on what to do if you don't want to be the face of the business but you still want to use video and how to incorporate more of your team.

On today's episode, I'm going to dive into the 6 common mistakes you may be making or may have made in the past that have held you back from becoming an industry leader.

"I realized people really needed to hear this..." At minute 0:40, we're diving in to what it means to be an industry leader. I'm sharing why it's not uncommon for an entrepreneur to be multi-passionate and good at several things...that's mistake #1. Plus, I'm sharing the kind of person that is really difficult to work with as a coach.

"They let external obstacles get in the way..." At 9:02, I'm talking about mistake #2: the obstacles we turn into excuses. Hear mistake #3 of how we tend to focus on what we don't want rather than what we DO want.

"You can build a framework that is unique to the way to the way you do something..." At minute 14:08, I'm sharing mistake #4: nothing proprietary about what you do and any body can copy you leaving you to constantly innovate. Plus, mistake #5: they don't have or know their company values.

"Our #1 job as a business owner is to be the visionary..." At 22:28, is that last mistake. They don't consistently make space for innovation. I'm giving you a few steps to make an action plan.

If you are ready to be your industry leader I want you to join us at my Purposeful Positioning Workshop happening July 30-31! We have a max of only 20 people and I hope you are one of them. It's going to be 2 days, 9-5, where we will be getting stuff done! Let's figure out how to position ourselves as the best and ONLY option for our clients and walk away feeling like the industry expert! So many times I see people look at successful entrepreneurs and just assume they were an overnight success. Not only that, we think that they ended up where they are today because they had 100% clarity on where they wanted to go and had no stumbling blocks along the way. But that's just simply not the case, and today's guest is a perfect example!

I am so excited to introduce you to a good friend and SBHE Live 2019 speaker, Jordan Lee Dooley. Jordan is the host of the SHE podcast (which just hit over one million downloads) and author of Own Your Everyday, but it didn't start here. It actually started about 5 years ago in her sorority room storage closet hand-lettering products for her brand new Etsy shop.

It's funny, because we think that in order to be successful there is a straight and narrow path to lead us there, but it's just the opposite! It's like a roller coaster ride with ups and downs and twists and turns that lead us step by step in our journey.... IF we don't give up! I'm so excited for you to hear Jordan's story and how she has ended up where she is today.

"All because of a little shop that I started in college..." At minute 0:35 Jordan is telling us her back story, how she got where she is today, how she started her own business and how she became an influencer. Hear if gaining a following scared or excited Jordan when it first started happening.

"Things can happen somewhat quickly if we take action ..." At 8:26 Jordan tells us how quickly this all happened for her and if it was a lot of trial and error or not. Hear where Jordan was putting most of her time, the places she was showing up and her content strategy.

"I had no idea what I wanted to write a book on..." At minute 15:00, we dive into how Jordan's book came to life. Jordan talks about how she uses 3 things: motivate, educate and captivate people to reach an audience in an authentic way.

"It serves the bigger mission at hand..." At  25:38, Jordan and I talk about how she decided to start a podcast and what made her decide it was the next place for her to go. Plus, how she launched her podcast with a launch team!

If you want to connect more with Jordan, you can find her on social @jordanleedooley. Be sure to check out her book coming out in May! You can preorder it here, and check out her podcast, SHE podcast!

Welcome back to episode #313! I admit it! I am a total nerd. Are you one too?! It's funny how when we are younger we would never want the label of nerd, but now so many of us claim it with pride! Whether it be attending a conference, completing an online course, or even a listening to podcast...we are all in! We want to learn as much as possible!

But what if that isn't enough? What if there is more to just learning? What if just learning can actually be more crippling than empowering? I know we are all familiar with the quote "Knowledge is power," but it's more than knowledge that we need...You have to actually do something with the knowledge you are taking in or it cannot be powerful in your life and business...Which is why today in today's episode I am bringing in my good friend April Perry! April is going to cover two simple concepts with us that will help us solve the information overload problem and bring freedom and power to our life and business!

"You need to communicate what you learned at a conference to the other people who help you succeed..." At minute 0:36, I'm introducing you to April and she dives into sharing her framework for starting to build systems after attending an event. She is giving us all the tips for what we should do before going to an event or conference and her genius way of organizing her notes!

"We don't ever want to come home with piles..." At 12:37, we're talking about making connections and what to do instead of collecting a pile of business cards. April is sharing the program she uses to organize all of her notes that will be a game changer!

Welcome back to episode #312! A couple of weeks ago I was featured on Amy Porterfield's podcast where I shared the inside scoop on how to grow your local business with online strategies!

Amy had been asked repeatedly if the online marketing strategies she teaches can be translated to the local brick and mortar small business, and she picked me to answer that question! I was honored! Now, you may have been wondering the same thing...Maybe you have a hair salon, a dance studio, a dentist office, a real estate agency, a pet grooming business.

The question is, how can you take the information of online marketing (list building, lead magnets, funnels, social media strategy) and use them effectively to get more customers into your physical storefront? Well, today is your lucky day!

If you missed my interview with Amy, I am airing it today on my show!

In this episode, you can expect to hear more about:

  • The most common struggle that brick and mortar businesses face and how to overcome that struggle and bring more customers in the door
  • The three customer attraction systems (funnels) that convert very well
  • Tips and strategies for getting lots of honest online reviews from your customers. My brick and mortar got 60 reviews in one week!
  • The 3 T's of Funnel Success
  • ....And so much more!

P.S. It's not too late.... Class #4 of The Profit Mastermind just started on Monday and it's your last chance to jump in!! (I'm not sure when we will be offering this again - don't miss your only opportunity to work in an intimate small group with me and 25 other women).
