Hello Empire Builders! It's time for another Flash Friday and today I am sharing a little inspiration about being confident no matter what. We've all heard the phrase fake it until you make it...but you don't have to fake knowing everything. Confidence can mask everything until I realized this one thing.

Are you ready to learn breakthrough marketing strategies from a former hairstylist? Today I am bringing you my dear friend and fellow mastermind member, Britt Seva. If you watch my IG stories, then you might recall Britt was one of my roomies when we flooded our NYC apartment.

“We have these zones of genius we don't even know make us special…” At minute 2:12 if you haven't heard about Britt yet she is sharing all about what she does and how she got to where she is now! Oh, and hear about the time we flooded a New York City apartment…

“I stopped following those in my industry…” At 7:06 we talk about who inspires Britt, who she is looking at on social media, what industries she looks at and the types of people. Britt gives us insight on how to get it out of your head that if you are the first to share an idea, instead of keeping it from others, how to elevate and inspire others and how to see people copying your ideas as a compliment.

“Everything I was going to post or share was going to add value to my followers lives…” At minute 11:38 I ask Britt how she gets inspired and how she comes up with amazing content. Wondering how to plan out the future instead of doing it all at once? Britt has you covered!

“I didn’t think my voice and my messaging was clear enough yet…” At 21:26 Britt shares how she decided to start a podcast and how she knew it was right for her and her audience. Britt shares the journey on how she became confident enough to launch a podcast including reaching out to others for advice.

“I am always thinking what does my audience need more of…” At minute 23:33 I ask Britt about the amazing and creative things I see her doing on social media and where her ideas come from. I ask Britt to spill everything on how she thinks of her content! We wrap up with a few details of the new Instagram feature IGTV and the measurements Britt thinks is most important to track.

If you want to connect more with Britt you can find her on social media, @brittseva!

Hello Empire Builders! It's time for another Flash Friday and today I am sharing the one thing I do to keep me motivated and keep my goals in sight. Hello Empire Builder! Today we are talking about 5 things that can help increase self-discipline including how and when to take breaks.

“Do something that you necessarily don't want to do...” At minute 1:33 I talk about what traits successful entrepreneurs have in common.

“These will become natural habits…” At 2:41 I dive in with step #1 which is tracking. I talk about why tracking and measuring results and your performance is SO important for your life and your business. Wondering how you can start to track this? I’ve got you covered with tips, what my team does and what I do to stay on track!

“Write it down. Get it out of your head…” At minute 8:05 is step #2! Have you ever heard of a brain dump? If you haven’t you will want to start now! I share why it’s extremely important to get things out of your head and on to paper. We are busy entrepreneurs and it’s hard to remember everything we think or say throughout the day. I talk about the things I use to do this that really keeps me organized and focused!

“I set alarms for everything…” At 11:27 I'm talking about step #3 which is using reminders and alarms. It’s amazing what a simple reminder or a customized alarm can get you out of bed and start working. This is not only to wake up but for any part of your day!

“Be the person you want to be…” At minute 17:02 is step #4 where I want you to find an accountability partner. Having someone in your life that you can share your goals and what you learned with, will make it easier for you to actually do things and not just talk about them.

“You cant have an all or nothing mindset…” At 20:45 I talk about how important it is to always keep a positive mindset. I’m giving you tips on how you can utilize your time no matter how much or how little you have during the day!

As I mentioned I am giving you two links! The first is to a worksheet for tracking purposes which you can find here: shesbuildingherempire.com/selfdiscipline

The second is the Oreo video I was sharing about which you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QX_oy9614HQ

I am so excited for this episode as I have Sarah Boyd with me! Sarah is a mother of 2, a cancer survivor and the founder of 'Resilient Little Hearts' Children's Publishing House. With her background in psychology and neuroscience, she is passionate about equipping children to build the character, resilience and courage needed to thrive in today's ever changing world. She is an Aussie that now lives in California with her family. Today we are diving into raising kids in an entrepreneurial family!

“You gave your best shot at living out your biggest potential…” At minute 2:26 Sarah tells us what her background is including psychology and neuroscience along with her consulting digital products and teaching positive psychology principles and how her children's book came about. Sarah shares why it's so powerful for us to be reading with our children.

“You have the potential to create your own future…” At 6:40 we talk about the benefits our kids will have by being raised by entrepreneurs and growing up in an entrepreneurial family. The biggest benefit is the exposure to possibilities, to limitless potential and to their options. Sarah talks about how we can make the most of that.

“People say you’re so fearless…” At minute 10:38 we talk about exposing our kids to certain opportunities. Sarah shares what she exposes her children to, to make sure they see or hear certain things including courage and how she can teach that to her children.

“We can get really caught up in feeling guilty…” At 14:00 we talk about people who see their children as entrepreneurs in the future and what we can be doing even if we send them to traditional schools but want them to have an entrepreneur mindset. I share my experience, insights and hopes for my children and we discuss how to show that failure is a part of this as well.

“It’s because you’re scared and you did it anyway…” At minute 21:25 we talk about special rituals, habits and things that Sarah does with her kids each day. I also share what I do with my kids every night to teach them about gratitude. I ask Sarah how to teach our kids courage and her suggestions for how to give our kids more courage.

"Not being afraid, not having that fear..." At 28:43 Sarah tells us about her new book and where you can find it! If you want a copy of Sarah's new book, 'The Boy Who Stood Up Tall' you can grab a copy here, http://www.resilientlittlehearts.com/book

Hello Empire Builders! It's time for another Flash Friday I have a 2 minute inspiration to help you jumpstart your day!

Jun 6, 2018

I'm not sure about you but I can tell you I want more. More of everything, more visibility, more social media, more followers, more, more, more!In this episode I am sharing what I recently posted on Instagram and why my notifications were blowing up more than usual. I am sharing what I did and why you need to really start incorporating this into your business.

“We'll learn from our mistakes…” At minute 2:27 hear a few behind the scenes of my brick and mortar business and how we keep getting better every year. We're constantly asking ourselves where can we improve. I also share why this relates to your social media and other content.

“All of these really successful people are talking about the importance of storytelling…” At 3:44 How can you connect with your audience and your community what kinds of things they may want to hear from you. Hear why you just need to get started!  Find something that resonates with your community and what makes them want to jump in on the conversation and share.

“I'm from Wisconsin and I practically only shop at Nordstrom…” At minute 5:31 I talk about why I don’t often share personal things about myself. I care about getting to know other people but I always question why would someone want to know all of that about me? Hear why you need to be sharing things in order to go to that next level.

“If I don't come clean about what I am thinking about, why would I expect them to?...” At 8:00 I talk about my most recent Instagram post that had the most engagement. I share the things I talked about and how it got my community so involved. If I don't come clean about what I am thinking about why would I expect them to?

“I feel like people wanted to share back…” At minute 10:48 I share what happened when I went deeper in my Instagram post and how the community responded. I was able to make a deeper and different type of connection. It is all about balance between personal content and business content but there is a way to combine them.

“Share something you normally wouldn't share…” At 12:41 I challenge you to ask yourself how you can go deeper with your audience. Share something you normally wouldn't share or haven't shared with your audience before and let's just see what happens. Get out of your comfort zone!

Stay tuned for next week’s episode as we are chatting with Sarah Boyd on raising kids in an entrepreneur family. I'm so excited because this isn't a topic I've talked about and I want to make sure I'm being a good role model for whoever it is that's watching me.

You can find the Instagram post I am talking about here. In the meantime head over to Instagram, say hello and tag me @stacytuschl! Let's keep the conversation going.
