Today Stacy talks about list building and what the new Facebook algorithm means for you! 

Today's topic was actually pre-scheduled before Facebook released their news, so this turned out to be perfect timing!

"When I'm coaching clients I ask them what they're hoping for with their challenge or next launch."  At minute 1:13 Stacy discusses how list building is a numbers game.   She explains conversions and the importance of list building.  

"Social media vs. your email list."  At minute 2:33 Stacy explains why you can't put all your 'eggs' in one basket.   She discusses the use of other platforms, especially your email list to increase your sales.   She provides real-life examples from her own business and tells you why you shouldn't go after those 'vanity' numbers. 

"We scrub our email list."  At 5:06 Stacy talks about cleaning, or scrubbing, your email list.    She explains the process and how doing this will help you get the most accurate statistics for your business.  

"Tips that help grow your list..."   At minute 7:34 Stacy gives some great tips that will help you grow your email list.  

"Compelling content..."  At 8:23 Stacy discusses engaging content and the importance of it.    She goes in depth about the things you need to create engaging content in order to have your social media posts/lives be seen.

Today Stacy talks about growing your team and how to make sure you're not doing everything in your business in 2018.

"We knew in 2018 we would be growing our team..."  At minute 3:30 Stacy talks about how to figure out what gaps to fill in your business.  She shares how she figured out what gap was in her team and the start of the hiring process.   She also shares her vision for her business in 2018 and how she plans to scale.

"Search Local."  At 5:40 Stacy discusses how she searched for someone local to fill the open position on her team.   She talks about the different platforms she used to search for candidates and which one worked the best.

"Step One: Apply through the platform."   At minute 8:30 Stacy talks about the first step of the application process.   She describes why she asks her applicants to include their personality test results and the importance of it.  

"Step Two:  The Google Form."  At 9:34 Stacy discusses what questions she asks her applicants in her Google Form.   She explains how she has applicants research her brand and how telling the results can be.  

"Step Three:  15 Minute Zoom Call."   At minute 11:47 Stacy describes her 15 minute "get to know you" calls and what she is looking for in her perfect applicant during Step Three.   Plus, she talks about the bonus 'test' that popped up during the calls.  

"Step Four:  Meeting In Person."  At 14:20 Stacy discusses what happens when she meets applicants in person.   She also shares a personal story of what she would have changed to streamline the entire process.  

"Step Five: Paid Work."  At minute 15:30 Stacy talks about what tasks she gave her final applicants and how she gives them an opportunity to show off their other skills.    She also discusses the importance of getting a second opinion during the hiring process.  

"Tips to be successful in this process."  At minute 18:01 Stacy gives tips on how to be super successful when you go to hire. These include: what you should not tolerate in the process, how to not sugarcoat things and more!

"Step 1: Take a little vacation."  At minute 2:47 Stacy talks about taking a vacation, or even a 'staycation' to clear your head.   She explains how this will help you to work smarter and not harder in 2018.  

"Step #2: Re-do your vision board."   At 4:14 Stacy discusses how she re-did her vision board.  She describes the steps she takes to create her own vision board and tells you what she has on hers.   Your vision board will describe your 'why' for the upcoming year.   

"Step #3:  The Brain Dump."  At minute 6:57 Stacy explains her system of brain dumping. She provides you with an in depth look at her morning routine and how she plans out her day, which includes her morning and evening routines, planning out meals and more. 

"Proactive versus Reactive Work." At minute 9:00 Stacy goes over the differences between proactive and reactive work.  She provides several examples of what's on her list.   

  • Proactive- The 'move the needle' type things in your business. Big stuff that will make a difference in your year.   Interviews, FB Lives, connections with other entrepreneurs, working on funnels, webinars, content creation, program development.  Team meetings.  
  • Reactive- Checking email, Google Boomerang, Voxer, facebook engagement, private calls, coaching calls, group calls, Monday.com, 

 

"My morning routine..." At minute 14:47 Stacy gives you a description of exactly how she starts her morning.  Her typical routine includes meditation, affirmations, gratitude and review of her big goals. She also talks about the 'extra' things she does in the morning if her schedule permits.  She explains how to find a rhythm and routine that works for you, everyone is different! 

"Wrap up your workday."  At 20:18 Stacy talks about how she winds down her day and the steps that she takes to make sure she has time for her family and to unplug.   

"Step #4: Create Boundaries."  At minute 26:45 Stacy talks about how she creates boundaries. She provides great tips on what she has planned for her year that can help you be very intentional with your time.     

"Step #5: Map out your calendar."  At 29:38 Stacy tells you how she maps out and color codes her calendar. She explains the importance of this so you can see what's working and what is not.  

"Quick Tips"  At minute 30:28 Stacy goes in depth with 5 great tips to set up the year for success!  They include: 

  • Color code
  • Set up your own schedule
  • After you're comfortable with your schedule, put it in your personal calendar
  • Don't forget about personal stuff!
  • Create a note in your calendar to hold yourself accountable
